Corporate Social Responsibility
The motive for re-developing the property and running it commercially is to subsidise programmes for youngsters delivered at Ardoch by Columba 1400, a leading Scottish charity. The estate itself and the altruistic enterprise that manages it are both owned by not for profit foundations. Grant applications from registered charities working with young people at Ardoch can be submitted to Ardoch Foundation. (awards are more likely to be made for top-up funding). Ardoch has a biomass boiler, solar panels, grey water collection and over 90% of clean water consumption is from our own underground source. More than a thousand trees were planted on the estate recently and several initiatives have been taken to encourage and protect wildlife.
